Anna Fondren

Ms. Anna began dancing at the age of 8.  Her early training was at Betsy Witcher’s School of Dance and Gymnastics in Lake After two years there, she was accepted into the Houston Ballet Academy and trained under the late Richard Munroe, former Creative Director of Houston Ballet who trained at and was a member of England’s Royal Ballet.  Ms. Anna received jazz and tap training as well, and at 12 years old was the youngest person to ever appear with Houston’s Delia Stewart Jazz Company.  Ms. Anna has appeared in numerous ballets, musicals, and commercial projects, with Lake Jackson Civic Ballet, Houston Ballet, Delta Festival Ballet, Third Coast Jazz, the UT Austin Dance Team, and L. A.’s Edge Performing Arts.  She has won numerous State and National solo Competitions and choreographed and taught for Dancer’s Workshop, USA dance camps, JWSD, and Body Talk Dance Company.  When Ms Anna isn’t teaching dance, she can be found teaching preschool at the Growing Tree in Austin, and writing for NBC/Bravo, SXSW, and numerous National brands.  She is the proud mother of her daughter, Sophie.
